Are you Licensed? What does that even mean?
I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2009, and have worked in the Holistic Health/Spa industry since 2007. In Illinois, licensing means that I’ve successfully completed a Massage Therapy education from an accredited school, passed a national certification exam, and passed a full background check done before my license was issued.
What if I don’t know what massage I want?
Almost anything can be altered on the fly; your massage experience is tailored to you, for that particular moment in time. Add-ons that require some preparation beforehand may not be accommodated. For instance, the warm stones for a warm stone massage may not have been preheated if notice was not given.
